Next Steps After Submitting the Admission Application

After applying to CSU and UC, these are topics you want to be aware of:

Financial Aid

Apply early to maximize your financial aid opportunities for the 2027-28 academic year!

Priority Deadline for State Aid:

March 2, 2027

Application Update

The IVC Transfer Center will be offering assistance during January 2027 to help with application updates.

  • CSU Applicants: Complete the application update by logging into the Cal State Apply website by January 31, 2027.
  • UC Applicants: Log in to the UC Application and complete the Transfer Academic Update (TAU) by January 31, 2027.

Supplemental Application

The IVC Transfer Center will be offering assistance during January 2027 to help with supplemental applications and academic updates.

  • CSU Applicants: Some CSU campuses and/or majors require a supplemental application. Deadlines vary, with many occurring during January. Be sure to carefully read all emails and applicant portal messages from each campus.
  • UC applicants: Some UC campuses require a supplemental application. In some cases, specific majors require a supplemental application; read the emails provided by the university to make sure to adhere to the deadlines.

College Transcripts:

Initial Transcripts

  • Some universities will require transcripts early in the Spring semester that will include your Fall grades and Spring enrollment.

Final Transcripts

After the Spring semester, universities will require final official transcripts showing:

  • Spring 2027 grades
  • General Education certification (when applicable)
  • Awarded Associate Degree for Transfer (AA-T/AS-T), if applicable

IVC Degree Application

CSU & UC applicants: If you are interested in earning an IVC degree(s) and/or certificate(s) in winter, spring or summer 2026, make an appointment with a counselor to submit the degree and/or certificate application by the deadlines.


2026-2027 Housing Application

CSU & UC applicants: Refer to the campus housing website for application process and deadlines.
