Classes Canceled for Tuesday, September 5

Dear students:

I hope this message finds you well. We want to inform you of an important update regarding campus operations for tomorrow, Tuesday, September 5th.

In response to the ongoing challenges, we are facing on campus, we have made the difficult decision to cancel all classes scheduled for Tuesday, September 5th.

We will be maintaining a skeleton crew of staff on campus to assist students who may come to campus seeking assistance or resources; However, since on campus services will be very limited and many departments may be relocated, students are strongly encouraged to call or access our website zoom links to access services

The decision to cancel classes was not taken lightly. Several areas continue to experience power outages, and some are facing HVAC problems. To avoid confusion and ensure the safety and well-being of our community, we have decided to cancel all classes for the day while we diligently work to address these issues.

Furthermore, we are considering the possibility of moving classes online for the remainder of the week. We have asked faculty to make the necessary adjustments to their courses to facilitate this potential transition to online instruction. Student flexibility and adaptability during this time are greatly appreciated and please watch for further notices on Canvas, student email, Regroup, our official Social Media Channels and our website.

Our goal is to make a final decision regarding the continuation of online classes for the rest of the week by tomorrow afternoon. We understand that these disruptions may cause inconvenience, and we sincerely apologize for any challenges this situation may pose.

We deeply appreciate your patience, understanding, and cooperation as we work tirelessly to resolve the current campus challenges and ensure the safety of our community. Please stay tuned for further updates.
