EOPS students receive Group 1 priority registration, allowing them to register for classes earlier than most students.
EOPS students receive individualized counseling to support their academic, career, and personal goals. Students can meet with an EOPS counselor through scheduled appointments or drop-in services.
Counseling is available in person and online through Zoom.
Newly admitted EOPS students are required to complete an EOPS New Student Orientation. Orientation introduces students to the program, available services and benefits, program expectations, counseling requirements, and important resources available throughout the semester.
Students will receive information on how to complete their orientation as part of the EOPS admission process.
EOPS students have access to individualized academic support, including one-on-one tutoring services. Students can receive additional assistance with coursework and connect with resources to help them stay on track toward their educational goals.
Throughout the semester, EOPS offers workshops, activities, and events designed to support students academically, professionally, and personally.
Students can participate in workshops, college and university tours, regional conferences, social and cultural activities, and other opportunities to connect with the EOPS community.
Need help beyond academics? EOPS can help connect students with IVC and community resources based on their individual needs.
Students are encouraged to reach out to our team if they are unsure where to go for assistance.
EOPS students may also be eligible for additional assistance such as book, transportation, academic supply, meal, parking, and other grants or resources.
