Our Mission and Approach

Our mission is to empower students to reach their academic goals through personalized, one-on-one tutoring. We take a holistic approach to tutoring, helping students address not only academic challenges but also building study skills and confidence. We focus on identifying and addressing your unique learning needs, and our expert tutors work with you to develop a plan that works best for you.

Our tutors have successfully completed the same courses you are currently taking. They have training, and a wealth of support to help you succeed.

Our tutors are passionate about helping students reach their full potential. They are patient, empathetic, and skilled at creating a supportive learning environment.

Our tutors take a personalized approach to tutoring. They understand that every student has unique learning needs, and they work with them to develop a plan that works best for them.

 

 

 


 

The Learning Services Department is here to help you. The department offers both an in-person and online modality through Zoom to provide students with the necessary assistance they need. If you prefer meeting with a tutor online, you can access our tutoring session by clicking on the following link:

  • Tutors are available at the Spencer Library and through Zoom. Check the calendar below for Drop-In Tutoring.

    • Look at the calendar below to see what subjects and tutors are available.

  • Drop-In Tutoring: Do you have a question? Need clarification for an assignment? You can come during our drop-in hours to get tutoring for a specific subject, depending on the subject and tutor availability. 

  • One-on-one Appointments: Appointments can be recurring throughout the semester for a particular subject. These appointments are also one-on-one with a tutor. 

  • Conversation Partners: If you want to practice your English, French, or AMSL skills by having fluent conversations, schedule a 30-minute session with a tutor.
