The CVC (California Virtual College) Exchange lets students at California Community Colleges sign up for online classes at other colleges without needing to fill out another application.
You can take these classes to help you finish a certificate, degree, or transfer to a university.
Important Information on the CCPG Waiver & CVC Exchange Courses
Imperial Valley College cannot give you the CCPG Fee Waiver for classes you take at a different college. To get the fee waiver at the other school, you need to add that college to your FAFSA or CADAA form.
If Imperial Valley College is not your main (home) college and you're taking a class here through the CVC Exchange, make sure to add Imperial Valley College (school code: 001214) to your FAFSA or CADAA so we can process your fee waiver.
Getting Financial Aid for CVC Exchange Courses
If you are a student at IVC and qualify for financial aid, your CVC Exchange courses might count toward your enrollment status if you meet these rules:
Check your messages in WebSTAR to see the status of your request for financial aid for a CVC Exchange Course.
Courses that qualify will be added and counted toward your enrollment status on the Freeze Date for the term. If your enrollment status goes up, your financial aid will be paid at the next scheduled payment date.
Classes added after the Freeze Date will not count for financial aid payments.
