Financial Aid

Financial Aid is awarded through grants, scholarships, loans, and student employment.  To learn more, visit financial aid and scholarships.

Types of Financial Aid

Grants:  Money that students do not have to repay and are typically awarded based on financial need.  To learn more, visit Financial aid basics.  Please note that in some instances, students must repay all or a portion of their grant(s) if certain academic policies are violated.  For questions, contact the Financial Aid Office at 760-355-6266. 

Scholarships:  Money that students do not have to repay.  Requirements for scholarships vary and may include financial need, academic talent, or enrollment in a particular degree program.

IVC does not participate in Federal Student Loan Programs; however, students have the option to apply for private education loans.  To learn more, visit http://www.imperial.edu/students/financial-aid-and-scholarships/financial-aid-programs/.

Federal Work Study is a program that allows students to earn part of their financial aid through working on or off campus. Positions may be available in the Military and Veterans Success Center for Veteran students.

For further information regarding your specific federal benefit please contact the MVSC or you may find information on VA.gov. VA educational benefits provide a monthly stipend dependent on rate of pursuit and benefit type. These stipends are based on current data and fluctuates by region. For the Summer/Fall, the current calculation for benefits are as follows and based on full time and resident enrollment in undergraduate programs.
