Contact our Benefits Specialist, Liz Cantu (355-6194) for help in reviewing your options. You may also review our Benefit Guide which includes a summary of benefits offered at IVC.
As an eligible employee of IVC, you have access to a comprehensive set of benefits. Our benefits cover a variety of areas, with multiple options in each area allowing you to choose the plan that works best for you.

Eligibility

You are eligible if you are a regular full-time employee and are working 30 hours or more per week.

Open Enrollment

Open Enrollment occurs each year in August and is your opportunity to review your benefits options to determine what best meets your needs. The selections you make will remain in effect for the entire plan year unless you have a qualifying event.

Life Changing Events

  • Examples of a qualifying event include:
  • You have a change in your marital status
  • You have a baby or adopt a child
  • Your dependent child looses eligibility due to age or marriage
  • You become disabled
  • You end your employment with the District
  • You or your dependent passes away
  • Your spouse gains or loses coverage

You must notify human resources within 31 days of the qualifying event. Benefits elections will then remain in force for the remainder of the plan period.
