 New Student Checklist: 9 Steps to Success

Your Pic1 Apply

Apply online at OpenCCCApply. ( To create an account you must have an email address)
After your online application is processed, you will receive your IVC ID (G#) and information regarding your admission status. If you have any questions, please contact CCCapply at (877) 247-4836.
Once your application is accepted, you will receive your IVC Student ID (G) number via email within an hour or so.

Your Pic2 See Counselor

The Placement of students into English and Math courses will be based on one or more of the following. High School coursework, High School Grades, and High School Grade point average.
If High School records are unavailable or student studied outside the United States: Guided Self-Placement, Self Reported High School GPA will be used. Must see a Counselor.

Your Pic3 Complete the Online Orientation

Complete the Online Orientation.
Input your First Name, Last Name, Student ID, and current Term.
Click on ENTER, DO NOT ENTER AS GUEST.

 

 Your Pic4 Complete Your Educational Plan

You can complete Abbreviated Education Plan online or schedule a counseling appointment to complete an Abbreviated or Comprehensive Student Educational Plan.

 Your Pic5 Apply for Financial Aid

Apply online for financial aid by completing the FAFSA at www.fafsa.gov. AB 540 students can apply for Cal Grants and free waivers at www.dream.csac.ca.gov.
Access your WebSTAR to see if you have any messages or unsatisfied requirements.
If eligible, you must accept your Terms and Conditions in WebSTAR before funds will be disbursed via debit card or direct deposit.

 Your Pic6 Register for Classes

Login to your WebSTAR account to register, print and view your classes.

 

Your Pic7 Pay College Fees

Pay your enrollment, health, and parking fees through WebSTAR. View payment options.
Any questions contact the Business office (Bldg. 10) at (760) 355-6478.

 

Your Pic8 Buy Your Books

You may purchase your textbooks at the IVC Bookstore or online at IVC Bookstore.
Any questions, contact the IVC Bookstore (Bldg. 1900) at (760) 355-6394.

 

Your Pic9 Go to Classes
