Imperial Valley College's Promise to Help Mitigate the Spread of COVID-19.
Imperial Valley College, like other colleges and organizations, is actively engaged in efforts to prepare for and mitigate the impacts of COVID-19. Our top priority is to support the health and wellbeing of our community as we continue to advance teaching and learning.
Imperial Valley College continues to align our recommendations with and follow guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), California Department of Public Health (CDPH), Imperial County Public Health Department and other city, state, and federal agencies.
IVC Campus Updates
April 3, 2020
Imperial Valley College will return to a modified Level 2 closure effective April 7, 2020. After careful consideration, Imperial Valley College Leadership determined to continue to offer instruction online for the remainder of Spring 2020 and Summer 2020. This decision is made in alignment with the recommendations from the federal government, state government and the California Community College Chancellor's Office. In addition, the Imperial County Health Officer issued an "Amended Stay at Home ORder" on April 1, 2020, which will remain in effect until further notice. March 20, 2020
In response to California Governor Gavin Newsom's stay-at-home order, Imperial Valley College (IVC) Leadership has determined to transition to a full campus closure, Level 3 effective Friday, March 20. This will continue until further notice. Click here to read additional information

I hope you are well. I am grateful to all of you for remaining calm and being patient. Please know that I understand that you have concerns about the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19). IVC leadership shares those concerns and considers the health and safety of our entire campus community a top priority. We are preparing now in case a full or partial campus closure is necessary. While we want to be prepared in the event of the need for campus closure, it is important to emphasize that as of today, there have been no positive cases of Coronavirus at Imperial Valley College.
