Strength and conditioning is an integral part of any student athlete’s life. At IVC, new equipment combined with dedication, the men’s basketball team is working toward success on the playing field. Strength and conditioning training are critical to maximal athletic performance. We at IVC are proud of our strength and conditioning facility, which is housed on the upper level of the Depaoli Sports Complex. We have a wide range of equipment from cardiovascular bikes, treadmills, stair masters and elliptical to strength training with free weights and machines.
IVC men’s basketball weight
program is designed to increase muscular development in order to help
prevent injuries and to improve performance on the playing field. The
strength program improves athletic performance through speed, agility, and
quickness training. Student athletes work on weight training and
conditioning regimens particular to their sport. Specific programs for all
incoming student athletes provide workouts, which emphasize additional
muscle mass and cardiovascular training. |
