Writing about music

1. Find
an article in a major publication (newspaper, magazine, even online) that deals
with music education or music involvement for elementary aged kids.
2. Write
a 250 - 300 word subjective review of the article. Include your opinions, reactions,
reflections, understandings of the issue, discussions you had with other people
regarding the article - anything that makes it personal to you. Use the vocabulary of music if at all
possible. Use the terms we have learned
in this class. I am looking for your
application of concepts we have discussed in this class to events outside of
this class.
3. Submit
your review as a typed document using a 12-point standard typeface (Arial,
Times New Roman, MS Sans, or similar), one-inch margins and double line
spacing. Attach the article (or a good
copy of the article) in a condition that is good enough so that it could be put
on a bulletin board. Please cite the
publication from which the article was taken and give the publication date and
the page number. (ex:
