Spotted Sandpiper - (Actitis macularia)

Spotted Sandpiper photo copyright by James E. Kuhn An inland shorebird that can be found along the marsh and river edges of the Salton Sea and the interior of Imperial Valley.

When disturbed, it vibrates its wings as it flies away - when it lands, it nervously "bobs" its tail up and down.
