Snow Goose - (Chen caerulescens)

Snow Geese photo copyright by James E. Kuhn Large flocks of migrating Snow Geese can be found in the Imperial Valley at the Sonny Bono Salton Sea National Wildlife Refuge.

They can be seen feeding in fields of Alfalfa planted around the Refuge Headquarters.

Follow the trail to the sea beside the canal, and the flocks will fly low over your head as they go from field to field... oh, and be sure to wear a hat!
