A winter visitor found in freshwater ponds
and lakes of the Imperial Valley.
Similar in size, appearance, and habits to the more commonly seen Western Grebe. The way to tell them apart is to look to see
if the eye is completely surrounded by white - it's a Clark's Grebe.
The Western Grebe's black skull cap edges all the way down to its eyes.
