Ash-Throated Flycatcher - (Myiarchus cinerascens)

[NO LOCAL IMAGE YET] A winter visitor to the Imperial Valley, look for its olive-brown body, white-throat and light yellow belly.

Prefers mesquite trees found in rural and desert areas.

Similar in appearance to the larger and more numerous Western Kingbird.

Also, compare it to the Olive-Sided Flycatcher which has a narrow, white band centered down its breast.
