For Students
Financial Aid & Scholarships
2013-14 Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy
Student Educational Plan (SEP) RequirementFinancial aid is limited to a certain number of units based on your current program of study. All students are encouraged to have an educational plan completed, with the assistance of an academic counselor, in order to ensure you are taking the courses required to complete your program within the 150% maximum timeframe standard. For most Associate Degree programs at IVC, the maximum timeframe is 90 degree applicable units attempted. Once you have reached this limit, you will no longer be eligible for financial aid.
Students who have attempted 60 degree applicable units (or the published length of your program if enrolled in a certificate program), must submit the completed Student Educational Plan Review form to the financial aid office. This form requires counselor signed verification of completed SEP. This requirement is designed to help you determine which courses to take to complete your program within the 150% maximum timeframe standard.
