Nursing
Learning Center
The Nursing Learning Center, Located
in the 2100 building, in room 2156, is a combination of skills labs,
computer lab and study area. The NLC is staffed with Nursing and EMT
tutors, and Microcomputer Lab Assistant, Monday - Friday from 8 - 5 p.m.
with some evening coverage also.

There
are computers with a variety of programs for Nursing
and Allied Health Professions to
access, such as Fire Science, EMT, Paramedic, Medical Assistant,
Nursing Assistant, and Pharmacology Tech.
The Learning Center Book and Video
library has material that can be used in the
study area

The skills labs have state of the
art mannequins in realistic hospital setting with all supplies needed to
perform a variety of skills and procedures.
Nursing 089 is a 1 unit Individual
Studies class which is available through the NLC and is open to students
in the Nursing or Allied Health Programs, and for recent graduates who
are preparing for their NCLEX or certification exam.

schedule time
with a tutor, or reserve a lab for skills practice, need to call the NLC
