HOURS OF OPERATION:

FALL 2009 

Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

All transactions must take place between 7:45 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. 


PARKING LOT CONSTRUCTION:

October:

Construction in front of the gym is now completed.  All vehicles on campus are now required to have a parking permit to park on campus.  Click here to see an updated campus map.

August 21:

Due to the increase in student enrollment and construction in the parking lots, new overflow parking has been added.  Please click here to see an updated map.

 

August 20:

Due to construction in the parking lots, the fall grace period has been extended.  Student parking permits will not be required until Thursday, September 24, 2009.

 

August 19:

Please be advised that the county has placed temporary "no parking" signs along Old Highway 111.  As of today, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) will be enforcing the temporary law.  Please do not park along Old Highway 111.  The county is currently working on placing permanent signs along the road.

FINE INCREASES:

The fine for citation will increase to $25.00 if paid within twenty-one (21) calendar days of the issuance of the citation and $50.00 dollars thereafter.

The fine for parking in a disabled parking stall without a proper permit will be $225.00 if paid within twenty-one (21) calendar days and $275.00 thereafter.

FEE INCREASES:

The price of a day pass or daily parking permit will increase to $2.00.  Day pass machines accept exact change only (no pennies, dollar coins, or fifty cent pieces).

 


Citations are issued year around for unauthorized use of reserved (faculty/staff), disabled, metered, 15-minute, fire lanes, and no-parking spaces.  A parking permit is required to park on the premesises.

NO PARKING ALONG ATEN ROAD OR OLD HIGHWAY 111 (this is a no parking zone.  Vehicles can be cited by the CHP and fines range from $50 to $150)

  

Note:  Imperial Valley College does not assume any responsibility for loss or damage to vehicles or their contents while parked anywhere on campus property.  Finding a legal parking space and displaying a valid permit is the responsibility of the motor vehicle operator.   Possession of a permit does not guarantee a space to park.  Lack of space is not justification for violation on campus parking regulations.
