Service:
- Serves 56 reading classes
- Open to all students on campus
- Serves an average of 1100 developmental reading students each semester
|
|
Program:
- Provides reading students with practical exercises to supplement classroom instruction
- Provides writing students with tutorial help with essays, research papers, and grammar through individual appointments or the Eng. 51 Individualized Writing Skills program

Management:
- Managed by Instructional Department, funded by the Imperial Valley College’s general fund
- Daily operated overseen by the Lab Coordinator and staff.
- Instruction, student progress, tutor training, coordination with the English Division Reading Committee overseen by the Learning and Tutoring Services Specialist
- Reading Lab program overseen by the Reading Lab Facilitator
- Writing Lab program overseen by the Writing Lab Facilitator

Facilities:
- 2600 building, within 100 feet of classrooms, faculty offices, and student services.
- Houses the Reading/Writing Lab and Language Lab.
- Three 50-student rooms—Computer Lab, Reading Room, and computerized Writing classroom/Phonics lab.
- Reception area with check-in/out counter.
