The IVC Service Desk support is here for you (faculty, staff and students) to provide on-call support campus wide. Please call (760) 355-6300; if you are having problems login into your WebSTAR account or E-mail account, or need help putting in a ticket for a technology request, reprographics request, or maintenance request on the service desk.
The support we offer through the IVC Service Desk online is on three categories:
The IVC Service Desk is a self service online program that is maintained by the Information Technology Department at Imperial Valley College. By submitting your ticket online, you can expect an IT employee to process your request in a timely manner. By calling in, you can expect to have an IT employee answer in-coming phone calls to assist you with your technical issue or problem you are having promptly. In order to access the IVC Service Desk online to receive technical support to a technical problem, please follow the instructions below.
First, open your web browser Internet Explorer 7.0-9.0 or Mozilla Firefox 4.0-6.0 or Safari and go to the main IVC website www.imperial.edu, click on the Faculty and Staff tab, and then click on IVC Service Desk button. In the Service Desk login page type in your IVC e-mail address and password. For example: E-mail address: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. Password: (same as your Outlook account); After you log in successfully, select Reprographics, Technology or Maintenance Request and then select the category you need assistance on, fill out the form and click the save button to submit your ticket online. After you submit your request online, you will receive an e-mail confirmation with your ticket number letting you know that your request has been received and will be assigned to an IT technician or manager to process your work request accordingly.
By faculty, staff and students submitting their work requests through the service desk, will help information system document, prioritize, keep track of future ticket cases, develop new FAQ's (Frequently Asked Questions), do technology surveys to find out how we can better serve you, and get statistical information to budget for our own operating costs each fiscal year in maintaining the support we provide here at IVC.
