Work Order Procedure

  1. Go to the IVC Service Desk and fill out an on-line work order.
  2. When filling out the work order, be as specific as possible when it comes to describing the work to be performed. Be sure to include an account code.
  3. The work should be pre-authorized by the appropriate Division Chair, Director, Dean, Vice President or to the Superintendent/President.
  4. The work order will be evaluated by the Director of Maintenance, who will prepare a cost estimate and make a recommendation regarding the work requested.
  5. If the work order is approved, the project will be assigned to a maintenance employee. The job will be completed on the basis of priority.  The Help Desk system will keep you notified of the progress of the work order.
  6. When the work order is completed, please close out the work order on-line.  

Extensive remodelling projects should be included in Program Review.
