There are so many species of Sparrows and they
all look so similar that it takes a very dedicated birder to try and identify
or study them all.
The White-Crowned Sparrow is easy because of the white-striped head. It is a frequent visitor to local backyard feeders
- but most prefer the farm fields and brush habitats of our rural Imperial
Valley.
