Laughing Gull - (Larus atricilla)

Laughing Gull photo copyright by James E. Kuhn This Eastern gull is very rarely found in the West - except in the Imperial Valley, where it is a common visitor to the Salton Sea.

Can also be confused with Bonaparte's Gull, another black-headed gull that visits our area.
